Campsite Reservations

Camp Chawanakee offers a variety of campsites located throughout camp.

Campsite assignments are based on several factors, including:

  • Unit size
  • Week selected
  • Campsite capacity
  • Availability
  • Special accommodation needs

Units may request a preferred campsite when making their reservation. While every effort will be made to accommodate requests, specific campsites cannot be guaranteed.

Early reservations provide the best opportunity for your unit to receive its preferred week and campsite.

Coming With a Smaller Unit?

You don’t need a huge troop to experience Camp Chawanakee.

Smaller units are welcome and may share a campsite with another unit when appropriate. Sharing a campsite can be a great opportunity for Scouts and leaders to meet other Scouting units while still maintaining their own unit identity and program.

For questions about accommodations for your unit, contact us at (559) 320-2100 or CampChawanakee@SequoiaCouncil.org.

Provisional Scouts

Can’t attend summer camp with your troop?

Individual Scouts may have opportunities to attend Camp Chawanakee as provisional campers, depending on availability and the program offered for the selected week.

Contact Camp Chawanakee for current provisional camping opportunities and registration information.

Campership Assistance

We believe every Scout should have the opportunity to experience summer camp.

Financial assistance may be available for eligible Scouts registered with Sequoia Council who would otherwise be unable to attend camp because of financial circumstances.
