Club Chawanakee 2026 – Your Family’s Perfect Summer Sendoff!

What is Club Chawanakee?

Club Chawanakee is a family camping weekend designed for Scouting families looking to wrap up summer with one last mountain adventure.

Spend Labor Day weekend at beautiful Camp Chawanakee enjoying the Sierra Nevada, lakeside activities, outdoor adventures, and time together as a family. Best of all, all meals are included, so you can spend less time planning and more time enjoying camp.

Most camp program areas will be open, with activities designed for Scouts of all ages and their families.

Camping at Chawanakee

Canvas wall tents and cots are provided on the Point. Just bring your sleeping bag, personal gear, and a sense of adventure!

Registration & Youth Protection

To help provide a safe experience for everyone attending:

  • Adults attending with only Cub Scout-age youth (grades K–5) are not required to be registered with Scouting America.

  • Adults attending with Scouts BSA-age youth (ages 11–17), whether or not the youth is currently registered in Scouting, must be registered with Scouting America.

  • Any participant 18 years of age or older attending with Scouts BSA-age youth must complete Scouting America adult registration, including the required background check and California AB 506 requirements, at least 14 days before the event.

  • All participants must follow the current Guide to Safe Scouting and Safeguarding Youth policies.

Registration Deadline

To help us properly plan meals, program supplies, staffing, and campsites, please complete your registration and payment no later than two weeks before the event.
